How to Set up Your Anti-Phishing Code on RaffleKing
Setting up an anti-phishing code is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself against malicious emails. Here's how to do it.
When it comes to scams and cybersecurity, the world of crypto is still volatile and unpredictable. In 2025, at least $14 billion was lost on-chain to scams – a sharp rise from the $9.9 billion lost in 2024. There are a few reasons crypto is a prime target: transactions are final, meaning lost funds can’t be recovered, and the space is still relatively young, so best practices aren’t always clear.
The nature of scams is also evolving. Last year, AI-generated impersonations surged by over 1400%, creating increasingly realistic fakes across email, Telegram, Discord, and social media. But among all the emerging threats, one of the oldest remains the most common: phishing.
Phishing is when someone pretends to be a trusted source – a platform you use, or even someone you know – to trick you into sharing sensitive information. That might be a password, a 2FA code, or a wallet seed phrase. These messages are often incredibly convincing, with familiar language and near-perfect branding.
At RaffleKing, we’re committed to protecting our users the best we can. One of the easiest ways to safeguard your account is by setting up an anti-phishing code. This is a short alphanumeric phrase, chosen by you, that appears at the top of every legitimate email we send. Whether it’s an email informing you of a bonus ticket drop, a raffle update, or a security notice, your code will always be there. If it’s missing, don’t trust the message.
How to Set up Your Anti-Phishing Code on RaffleKing
Setting up your anti-phishing code takes less than a minute. Here’s how to do it.
Start by logging into your RaffleKing account. Once you’re in, head to Account → Settings.
Under Settings, go to Security, and you’ll see the box to create your anti-phishing code. Choose a short alphanumeric phrase (up to 10 characters) that only you will recognise — something memorable, but not too obvious.
Avoid using your name, birth year, or anything easily guessable. Bonus points if it makes you smile.
Once you’ve typed it in, hit Save and you’re done. Going forward, every legitimate email from RaffleKing will display that code at the top. If it’s missing, don’t trust the message.
